Internet Setup: Windows ME, Windows 2000

1.      First click your computer’s Start Button, select Settings, and click on Control Panel.

2.      In Control Panel, select Internet Options. This will open a new window called Internet Properties.

3.      On the first screen you will see a line that reads “You can change which page to use for your home page.” In the box that is labeled Address: enter www.meckcom.net .

4.      Next click on the Connections tab, and then click the Button labeled Setup in the upper right hand corner to start the Internet Connection Wizard.

5.      On the first screen select the option that begins with “I want to setup my Internet connection manually,” and click next.

6.      Select the option, “I connect through a phone line and a modem.” Click Next.

7.      On this screen, first make sure “Dial using the area code and country code” is NOT checked, and then enter your appropriate access number in the box. Click Next.

8.      In this step, enter your User name and your Password that you chose when you signed up. Click Next.
